Please come out and join us, July 21st at Corktown Tavern, 1716 Michigan Avenue from 9pm - 3am and help us help the kids in our community, start the school year with the supplies they need to learn. This is the Kickoff Party and Fundraiser for the 2nd Annual Detroit House Music Picnic which is the following weekend at Belle Isle Park.

House Music for a Cause...
For the 2007 school year, A Sense of Balance Productions" will partner with Serendipity. Collage, & Potpourri (SCP), a non profit/tax exempt community organization to collect backpacks and school supplies. The goal this year is 200 Backpacks filled with school supplies for Bennet Elementary School and Frank Murphy Elementary School.
If you would like to bring back packs or supplies to Corktown Tavern, feel free. The types of supplies needed for inside the back-packs are; Paper, Note books, Pencils #2, Pens, Markers, Glue, Rulers, Planners, Folders, Dictionaries, Thesaurus, Index cards, Organizers, Calendars, Post Notes.
